Every Day Is A Party And Every Meal A Feast!

"Not knowing when the dawn will come I open every door" - Emily Dickinson

I've been waiting too long to open the door. There comes a point in each of our lives that we begin to stifle if we leave the door to our dreams unopened. It begins to crumble and die inside us and begins decaying. And yet, it is never too late. Burning embers need only a fresh breath to jump back to life and glow with brilliance.

And so I find my body losing it's breath lately until a phone callout of the blue from a dear friend gave me an assignment, and thus permission, to do something I love. My mission was to visit a sick friend in the hospital who was losing hope and needed a faith jumpstart. She suggested I take my talents and do something extraordinary to get the attention of a couple who were at the end of their ropes in spiritual exhaustion after the husband's many months of struggles in several hospitals. The devoted wife had been at his side endessly.

That was just the rally call I needed to hear! Someone needed a smile on their face and a song in their heart from renewed hope and faith in the Lord! I'm on it! The embers were suddenly burning into a flame of creative heat!

It energized me like no cup of of expression ever could. My mind began racing to design a breath taking visit complete with a faith survival kit basket, songs to sing, and a fun and colorful outfit to reflect a total celebration of life and faith in God.

A friend recently reminded me that "Every day is a party and every meal a feast" when we make our lives a living prayer that celebrates every moment - no matter what! My mind was drawn back to my best birthday party I ever had. It was a month after I had been diagnosed with an extra deadly form of breast cancer.

I decided that since I could not be sure what my next birthday might bring - I was going to have the party of my dreams! I made a list of all my girlfriends and announced the diva party of a lifetime.
